Thermal Analysis of Dental Materials : A Review
Keywords:
Thermal analysis, DTA, TGA, DSCAbstract
The mostly used TA techniques for materials characterization are differential thermal analysis (DTA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). TGA is mainly used to examine the decomposition of materials by monitoring mass change with temperature. DTA and DSC are widely used for examining the phase changes of materials, where DTA measures temperature difference and DSC measures heat difference.
