Abstract

The current review describe the state of the art of the modification of bone cement formu-lations, mainly biomimetic functionalized scaffolds, ion doped materials, the potential of decellu-larized extracellular matrix scaffolds and 3D printing scafoolds, and the reasons for the develop-ment of modifications.
