Hot Isostatic Pressing technology for dental ceramics
Keywords:
hot isostatic pressing, dental ceramicsAbstract
The microstructure of ceramics can be defined as the arrangement of grains (individual crystals) and pores of different size and shape and occasionally of a crystalline or vitreous intergranular phase. This microstructure is generated at the end of the densification process from a powder compact following heat treatment. No microstructure is perfect and homogeneous and it is strongly dependent on powder characteristics and sintering mechanism.
